I read somewhere that muses are bullshit.
"Write crap," he said. "Go back and fix it later. Or don't."
That's fine. I can do crap. Just not decent stuff.
My friend said people must like it here, at least a little.
"Bullshit," I said. "We're here because it's better than the alternative."
And because we're afraid.

I went to Japan this summer with a student delegation.
Poster child, able to afford trips across the hemispheres.
We went to museums in Tokyo.
Tokyo is huge, with so many places to go unnoticed, so many places to
Slip between the cracks.
I wish I could have found them.
While we were there, I wanted to leave.
This One Clearing
There is a clearing in the wood where the trees rise tall and stately on all sides, high as the
redwoods in California, though they do not seem out of place for there is nothing to compare them to as
there is no underbrush, only soft green grass spreading out for as far as the eye can see in all directions,
and also because the trees are thick and massive, proportional to themselves, and it seems not so much
as though the trees are great in size but more as though the observer has been shrunk, and perhaps this
is true, for there is no way of knowing, because not only the trees are larger than life, but also, as one

some stuff i want to talk about:
:mangapunksai: yeah, i have a new avator/icon/whatever. it makes me happy. yeah. moving on...
:mangapunksai: so i feel really unproductive. i've had like no time to work on anything, and when i do get time it's not for long. so almost everything in my gallery is either a) something old i've already done, b) something crappy i did really quickly and for whatever reason decided to post, or c) a picture. *points to the pretty kitty over yonder*
:mangapunksai: i've been looking around this site and seeing all the copyright threats where people go, 'steal my artwork and i will come and eat your brains'
so i need to get my rant off the front page.
i'm feeling better tho my friends are still annoying me. i've decided that being a hermit is sounding really appealing right now. mind you, my version of being a hermit would involve living on a tropical beach with nothing but a computer and a swimsuit. i would go someplace that spoke another language (like say spanish) and i would camp out on this really crowded beach and all i would ever say is no hablo espanol. that would be awesome.
so aside from desperatly wanting to become a hermit, i'm doing pretty well. i need things to talk about, so i'm going to explain my screen name:
